Super stoked that this is still being developed. With the drought in SRW content, your game is just a fantastic treat to fill that hunger and it comes with Hololive too!

I'm gonna follow you and keep an eye on this game as it's updated. The premise interests me, but I'd rather play it only when it is complete. Patience is a virtue!

Hi! Just wanted to ask. Is there a simple way to I guess, 'update' the game to its latest version without having to download and install windows all over again?

Not at this time.

I played the first 5 chapters and I already adore this game so much.

Any plans to fix how it installs with the itch client? Kind of annoying to click Launch and it just opens the folder where you have to manually run a installer every update.

Ah right, I should try the itch client myself and see if I can also upload a version friendlier to that.

Also, feels like HoloMyth is lacking something, only 3 elements and nothing really outstanding other then the 4 characters

Played up to Stage 11, and glimpsed Stage 12, which I'll wait till the rest of the Mechas have their attack animations completed, and oh boy it is hard to wait, because I'm so excited for when Stage 12 starts!!!

But as for now, I really REALLY love the entire experience. A really wonderful spin to the RPG Maker Engine to fit SRW! I've played the GBA SRW games, and watched those in PS4 and I must say, you nailed the SRW feeling from the animations of the mechas, to the in-battle dialogue, the intensity of the music, and all the Spirit names, parts, and whatnot! And not to mention really capturing the moments and personalities of the pilots themselves! Really well done!

The mechas, or the Hologears are very cleverly designed too! Especially how you combine the colour schemes of the robots that would seat 2-3 pilots in one. Jeremy181 and others who made the robot models, you did an amazing job!

But what really appeals to me in anything the most is the worldbuilding lore behind it, and you and the team have got me hooked. It is extremely wonderful, and mainly cute and charming, with how all the Hololive Production members came to be, and how they can pilot the robots. The powers and science that provide distinctions between Real and Super Robot (not that it's a big thing) and that even the pilots themselves contribute to the attacks (Idolizer Energy). Even nice how you put in an elemental system too!

With some things that could be added or improved on is this.

Could be a chart that talks about the elemental advantages between each other early on? Though it's nice to figure out which one is effective against which, I guess there could always be a chart or a tutorial just for the beginning.

Maybe indicate the stage number as well within the battle, like adding with the Stage name like Stage 2- (Title of Stage), as well as perhaps show on the menu screen the number stage and name too, it'd be nice. Just a little worried that I can only tell the progress on intermissions.

Maybe add a part where you can load the game from the previous save without having to exit to the menu and all?

But otherwise, any other possible bug is very minor (at least to me). It's going really great, and I can't wait to see the rest!

In the latest version a type chart is available from the map menu. And a couple lines were added to the tutorial to point the player to it.

I've added the stage number to the save file display in the latest version, but maybe I can add it to the stage conditions window as well.

There is a soft rest combination actually to instantly load the last save while on the map, A+B+L+R (Z + X + page up + down on keyboard). I should add that to the description maybe.

Good to hear you've enjoyed it thus far!
A version with all the attack animations is still a ways off, thank you for your patience.

Thanks! I'll be sure to check.

Played it to around 11-12, Really enjoyed it, will wait for the rest of the animations to get finished.

and oh jeez, this is all one half as well, the wait is gonna kill me.

How to fix this??

Hi, would you be able to join our discord to more easily troubleshoot this issue?
Feel free to @ me when you do.

YO A FUCKING SRW STYLE FAN-GAME????? FUCK YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
installing it now
proally gonna try it out in abittttt
cant waiiitttttttt

So I had a bug? I believe it was after Ch3? or 4? already forgot. I checked into the "Sell Parts" menu, just to see if there was something there, and the game got stuck on the screen. I couldn't backspace, escape, press back on my controller, to exit the screen. It was still making sounds, as if I was moving around the main menu, but I was stuck on that screen.

I mashed buttons on my keyboard until I hit something right, and I managed to close the window. Gave me a right scare, insofar that I thought I'd have to close and re-open, and lose my progress.

I had both tweaks on, if that might make a difference.

The tweaks shouldn't affect this. I've not been able to reproduce this yet but I'll keep an eye out.

I wonder if we get to have upgraded mechs for some of the units and some special events alongside those upgrades. And maybe some special final attacks with some events attached?

Thank you for all your work. I wish you great success!

Alright, I've played up to Chapter 5 so far, and I would like to give my impressions and feedback:

- Prior to the battle scene it shows the data between combatants. There's a lot of open space, and the Hit% and Crit% are fairly small to read. Perhaps you can enlarge that or place them elsewhere to make it easier to see?

- When selecting a weapon to attack with, there's letters like S, P, IE next to the weapon name. If we could highlight these to tell us what they mean, it would be nice.

- How elements work can be a bit confusing. If I'm not wrong: Fire > Ice > Air > Earth > Lightning > Water > Fire? And Light and Dark are weak against each other, am I correct?

- I'm really happy that the game has mouse support. You can even click and drag to move the map (THANK YOU!). I know left click is usually confirm, and right click is cancel or back although it has been a little inconsistent for me. Like "Select Assist" or "Select Action" on the battle screen I can open with Left Click, but Right click doesn't close them and I have to reach up to the ESC or C key to go back. On the map screen, it would be very convenient if I could just right click to open the menu to End the Turn.

- Speaking of ending turns, if I try to end a turn when a Unit can still move, the warning window pops up. Thank you for that, BUT the mouse doesn't seem to work on that window.

- Considering that the game requires very few controls to play, I would like to know if it is possible to rebind they keys so that I can play with one hand without having to reach across the keyboard.

- There are a few spelling errors in Chapter 5. A notable one is "uints" which I assume should be "units". Also I think it was in Chapter 3, but one of the conditions was to "Defend the HoloX". "Defend HoloX" would suffice, or rather use the name of their HoloGear.

- IRyS' portrait bothers me, namely her right eye (the pink one) looks distorted and a little too far to the side. If you could center it a little...

That's all I got for now. I have to say, you really worked hard on this! The expressive character portraits, the depth of the mechs, pilots, and weapons, the difficulty adjuster, missing with 93% accuracy, the cute story and sense of humor, and THE BATTLE ANIMATIONS!? You've been cooking! I have to say this now: PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET THIS GAME ON HOLO INDIE! That will require you to translate the game into Japanese, but I know the Holo talents will love this game (especially Oga)! Do your best! I'll be looking forward to the final product!

god I dreamed of this and you are making it come true, you are great, a great project that I would like to see finished

This looks really promising!

Great job on putting together the SRW engine!

I really hope you find the team to flesh out the story and designs!

It's a bit overwhelming with so many stats, effects, skills, equips and more, but I guess it's because I have no previous experience on SRW games.

Good game! :)

did you make the SRPG engine yourself? i love SRW and think that a fan holo game like SWR would be really cool so makeing a engine like SWR engine for mv is like mind blown to me cuz i never thought someone would be able to do it lol

(+2)

Yup, SRW Engine MV is my creation.

I'm a huge SRW fan and a big Hololive fan, if you wish I can help you with the designs and also work a little on the plot, it looks really good so keep up the good work
